3 times recently I applied for car finance through this company and they’re useless. I have lost £150 on deposits on cars that they told me finance had been agreed!!! Completed all the purchase agreements, they’d contacted the dealerships on 2 occasions for them to send their invoice. Signed direct debit mandates, everything as far as myself and the dealership was concerned to go ahead with sale. Cars were MOT’d, serviced and valeted only for either day before or the day I was supposed to collect the car to be told the finance company wanted more info e.g payslip that was already uploaded into their portal, HR email and phone number to do an employment check, which should have been carried out in the first instance, not when you were getting ready to drive 100 mile to pick up your car. I thought MoneyBarn were bad, but these are a close 2nd. Absolutely useless

Beware using this company sales agent told lies selling warranty even when challenged that 3rd party warranties were poor he claimed his warranty covered everything....fast forward few months warranty isn't worth paper it's written on. Now playing hard to get to contact. Very easy to get hold off when they were trying to get you to take loan from them.

If I could award negative stars I would - my experience to date with this company does not deserve any stars!, I can’t quite believe how awful the process has been to date. I purchased a car from a dealership about 3 weeks ago having financed it through Car Money and it experienced mechanical failure within the first week and had to be recovered on a low loader and returned to the dealership. Neither Car Money or the dealership were interested in arranging this return and despite numerous phone calls to both (and waiting the best part of a week to have this seriously faulty car collected) I was still stuck with it and ended up paying £250 out of my own pocket to get it transported back to the dealership. That was two weeks ago and despite a further 20+ calls and texts to Car Money since then they have still not wound back the loan agreement for payed me back my £250 recovery charge or my £100 deposit. I have literally spent hours and hours of my own time trying to get the loan closed and my money returned to me and Car Money are simply not interested. They have hung up on me during calls, transferred me to colleagues who then don’t pick up the phone to me and have promised returned calls which have never materialised. I have never written a negative review for a company in my life before however I felt I had to in this instance as I do not want anyone else to experience what I have gone through and despite my best efforts the loan has still not been unwound and my money has not been returned to me. As such, I am now having to take this matter to the Financial Conduct Authority in order to try and get my money back. I would advise everybody to think long and hard before considering Car Money as a service provider in case you end up with an awful experience similar to what I am still going through. Car Money - shame on you.

A complete and utter waste of time. It started off with the "You have been approved" routine. I submitted a figure I wished to borrow. The "ninja" who I dealt with (who, to be fair, was polite and patient) contacted me regularly to see if I had located a vehicle. I spent several days trying to track something down only to be informed that the vehicle must not exceed a certain age and mileage for me to be approved. I don't have the best credit rating (but remember this organisation claims to be able to overcome this), but it took too long for me to informed of the situation. There was a lock of clarity and cohesion throughout. I met with a reluctance to answer specific questions regarding where I actually stood, like it was almost a secret. After more messing about the "ninja" offered to try and find a vehicle that would meet the mystical "criteria." Of the three vehicles "offered," two didn't meet my specified requirements, and the other was too expensive. I fully appreciate the "ninja! was given a difficult task, but............. On top of this, there was no guarantee of an actual approval. I have previously experienced a scenario such as when dealing with a similar finance broker, but I thought I'd give this one the benefit of the doubt. I wish I hadn't bothered. You are better off finding a car dealer with finance facilities or going to a bank.

Do not answer questions ,only want to control you and sell you a contract, will not put anything in writing ,asked for details of contract did not respond, want you to sign paperwork before you know about any deal. Only want to speak to you on phone so they can record you ,but as hard of hearing it puts you into a difficult position. This is a company who is looking to get you in a corner without explain the details, then you are stuck with very expensive contract you can not get out of. In other words not customer friendly BE VERY CARFUL.

Please everyone double check you can get a better rate, I’ve got an excellent credit rating wanted to finance only 5k, was told best rate I could get was 17.2%! Was not happy about this they told me because it was a cheap car I couldn’t get a better rate! So I rang Auf car finance instead and asked them to source me a lender, got quoted 11.9% from close brothers for the same car same amount of financing and term. Obviously car money get a bigger referral fee for charging people higher interest rate! Just everyone double check you can get a better rate!

Constant pestering through text and phone calls from different people. Asking questions I had already answered I.e " have you collected your car yes or no" I text back numerous times saying yes and they still pestered . I had a phone call from jasmine who works there. Would not let me speak kept talking over me every time I tried to speak. Her attitude was disgusting. wanting signed documents. Documents that had already been signed and sent but they hadnt looked properly for them.Enfuriating! And then also turned out they had made errors on there part which they had admitted to on more than 1 occasion. Still tried to speak and she wouldn't let me. Disrespectful. Wouldn't want her on the phone to me again she is in the wrong job and I hope some sort of management can listen to the calls back to understand where I am coming from and I am sure they will agree with what I am saying. Any other company would have something that needed signing under 1 file but no 9+emails i received going backwards and forwards with documents they kept loosing. Not an organised company in any way shape or form.

Well where do I begin with Car Money, it is a very long and sad story from my part!! I have been dealing with Car Money for around 3 weeks now, the total ineptness and communication between staff, leaves a lot to be desired to be honest. Initially I was informed my full finance application had been accepted, keeping in mind that I informed them my licence had expired due to requiring a medical examination, but I was entitled to drive under I believe Section 88 of the road traffic act, no issues were raised. However, it took so long to administer the finance, that the motorcycle I wanted, was sold. I was advised to 'look for another one' keeping in mind I had spent literally hours over several days finding the one I wanted. I found another bike, dearer in finance, but I went for this, informed car money's Ryan, to be informed I could not have this amount of finance, and my finance was reduced by several thousands of pounds!! Disappointed to say the least, stressed most definitely, again 'look for another bike' I found another bike, the dealer kindly put this aside for me, it again took a great deal of time to get a response from Car Money, to be told, due to the mileage I could not have the finance for the bike, keeping in mind I was not informed of mileage restrictions previously. I had to let the dealer know, how embarrassing for me, and how inconvenient for the dealer. Again the advice, you got it, 'look for another bike' I found another bike, not what I wanted, but I was willing to compromise, I was asked for a code for DVLA to check if I had a full licence, which I do and have done for 15+ years, no issue was raised, until today, some 3 weeks down the line, the lenders are not willing to release the funds, until my licence shows as in date!!!! Questions: why wasn't I told this earlier? Do the staff at Car Money actually know what they are doing? Why have I been wasting so much time, effort, stress etc with this company Car Money? Because I thought they were reliable, and my dream would be fulfilled!! However, this has not happened, I have been left, with another loan to pay, because I needed further finance for the bike, by the way this is a high interest loan!! So Car Money, my advice is, stay well clear, unless you enjoy, stress, you have plenty of time to waste, and you like being disappointed. Car Money Ryan, Rebecca and all other staff involved with my finance application, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!

Awful lying company who steal money. I am disgusted. I was sold a car in August, one that was more money than the one I originally found. Car money told me this car would be better as the dealership was reputable. Now it has been in the garage more than out the garage. It has broken down fully several times. I have spent lots of money on It. Which they have now since begging me to Remove my review have refunded some of the repairs. They were not going to do this at first. I had to fight for that. I called the dealership 2-3 months after buying the car and said look this cars clearly faulty it needs taking back or repaired. I was told it was solely my job to do all the repairs and I'd be stuck with a car that doesn't work and isn't reliable for 6 years. Now I'm a single mother of 4 disabled children. I'm Pregnant and in a rural area. There are no taxis here, there isn't public transport. My children have been off school a lot due to this. One child is hone schooled due to their needs, they haven't been able to go to appointments or to their tutors. I've missed scan dates for my baby too. I've even broken down fully. I heavily rely on my car. I have had NO empathy from this company. And I've been told the dealership which they found for me is now in liquidation so they have taken over. The dealership supposedly did an mot and service before giving me the car yet it needs a complete oil change already. Their communication is absolutely shocking. I've had to really get blood out of a stone to find out what's happening. Are you paying for the repairs are you going to take the car back? Because one moment you are the next you need more proof of the repairs which you have. They should take the car back its faulty but instead I'm Paying nearly 19k for a broken car. Absolutely disgusted AVOID. Car money called the garage that I take my car to and made me wait all day for this. This is jsut too much for me. I've had months and months struggling in a rural area stranded pregnant with my kids. I have had a breakdown over this and ended up on medication due to the stress. They've ignored my latest emails too. So after they called my garage which I could have easily done again, they told me it needed to be seen by them again for proof on the more ongoing issues.. I've just picked it uo and had to pay a further £206 for this repair and have to now wait for their reply if they are going to pay me I have no idea because they change the rules so much. They told me I would have the right to refuse the vehicle of they have more proof. What else do you want? Its in the garage every week right now. Just to add I also called car money shortly after doing the contract to ask for their help with the car and I was shrugged off and spoken to rudely. So once they have their money they don't care. More than happy to help before though. I'm currently sat at the garage waiting for their reply. With all my. Children in my Car. They have truly and utterly broken me.

Not happy how my complaint was dealt with. Had warranty that wasn't even told about. Instead got sent back to dealership who only damaged my car even more was told to run around local garages had to pay for recovery trucks and all only not be reimbursed back. Total joke of company not happy at all. At first everyone was all nice and then it all went down hill. Would not recommend to friends or family members.

Poor comms and information. I went on the site to get a quote as site advised they brokered price. With number of options. Upon clicking on quote site acted as though I was applying rather than getting info. Received a call from agent who offered 1 poor option. This isn’t what they advertised

Good Evening, thank you for your review. We can see that communication was sent at every stage by SMS, telephone calls and emails, we are unable to find where your comment of 'poor comms' takes place. Unfortunately the APR you were provided, was unacceptable to you to which you then terminated the call. We apologise regarding the only option available to you, based on your credit score. Kind regards, CarMoney.

Good Afternoon David, thank you for your review however we are sorry to see you have scored us 1 star. I can confirm you wished to reject the vehicle however, we did not receive evidence of the faults by means of diagnostic, which is a requirement laid out in our Acknowledgement email. As a result, the dealership would not accept the rejection of the vehicle without evidence, as you saw the vehicle twice and checked the vehicle over. The dealership has agreed to repair the vehicle, at no cost to you, and will keep all persons involved updated. You will continue to be kept updated by our complaint team. Kind regards, CarMoney Customer Service.

I was looking for finance for a car to use for driving tuition purposes, after being rejected by the first lender as they didn’t want to finance a car for that purpose CarMoney said they would find a lender that would finance the car to be used for tuition, they hooked me up with a lender but failed to tell the lender the purpose of the car purchase, it all went well and the dealership were now involved and a holding deposit was paid by myself to hold the car. I signed all the documents and was awaiting notification to collect the car. I decided to double check with CarMoney that the lender were aware of the purpose of the loan and my agent said that they never normally ask and it will be fine……..anyway he then phoned back to say that MoneyBarn were not going to go ahead due to the purpose of the car as they don’t finance tuition cars. My agent from CarMoney was very apologetic and agreed that he remembered our earlier discussion about the intended use of the car and he admitted he was caught out trying to sneak the loan through without being totally truthful! Absolutely raging, now I have no car coming and I am unknowingly involved in “Darren’s” dishonesty!!!!!!

Very bad companions. First they sent me to approve. I sent them all the papers. We signed everything, sent the papers to the sellers, who signed it all, and then said that something was wrong and that it was a terrible terrible company, don't take a loan from them.

Have made a review on Trustpilot. It came up as my husband's name, John Pagett, but it was I who dealt with CarMoney, ie. Christine Pagett. No wonder there are no records of phone call from me, Because I tried and tried to get through on the phone, to no avail. I tried at night, early morning and throughout the day. NO-ONE picked up the phone. It is obvious they are not answering the phone. I sent e-mails and only then got a phone call from them,, on the same telephone number!!!!! So their phones did work. I was left to muddle through regarding the documents, as they wouldn't answer the phone. The same when the link they told me to click on, in my email, did not work. I found it on your site luckily. I have no issue with the Finance Company. They have been very efficient and helpful. I do not like the previous reply from CarMoney. It's no way to run a business and talk to customers like that.
